Welcome to my website. My name is Jason Keigher. I recently moved to Los Angeles from New York City. I attended private school in New York and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Touro College in 1998. I began my fitness career over fifteen years ago with Equinox Fitness Clubs and I spent over five years employed as a personal trainer at Reebok Sports Club/NY.

I am certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor; by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); as well as by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist (CES), performance enhancement specialist (PES), golf fitness specialist (GFS), senior fitness specialist (SFS) and women's fitness specialist (WFS).

Additionally, I am certified as a Power Plate, Kettlebell and TRX instructor. I am also certified by The Sports Club/LA as a pre/post natal and integrated flexibility specialist.

I have personally trained under Julie Tupler and hold a certificate that qualifies me to teach the Tupler Technique (the ONLY research based program proven to effectively treat a diastasis recti). I am also certified by Annie Martens to teach Bella Bellies® Prenatal Pilates and Stretch, Momilates® Pilates for Mommies and Stroller Moves® classes; as well as by Oh Baby! Fitness as a certified prenatal and postpartum instructor.

I am also a DONA trained doula by Birthing Gently. I am available for births in Los Angeles to make labor and birth a positive experience for each of my birth moms and their partners.

I have earned my CPR and AED certifications from the American Heart Association.

I am available for personal training in your home, office, park or private gym throughout Los Angeles. My specialties include prenatal and postpartum workouts, weight loss/gain, body toning, shaping, strength and flexibility training, postural correction, kettlebell training, TRX/suspension training, core strengthening and bridal boot camps.

WHY I BECAME A PERSONAL TRAINER

Many clients have asked me "why did you become a personal trainer?" For me it was a simple decision. As a teenager I was very out of shape. After school I would watch TV for hours and eat junk food. I never exercised and I would avoid almost all physical activity. By the time I was 20 years old, I was wearing 38" pants and I weighed almost 200 pounds! I was very worried about my physical condition and lack of energy. I needed to do something!

I hired a personal trainer to come to my house and help me get in shape. (I was too embarrassed to go to the gym.) During the next few months, I met with my trainer 2-3 times a week and watched my diet. My weight slowly began to drop and my energy level began to increase. Within 6 months, I was feeling great about myself and I finally joined a gym. Over the next few years I continued to gain muscle mass while reducing my body fat percentage.

Because of my struggles with weight gain and physical fitness as a teenager, I knew that when I graduated from college I wanted to work in the fitness industry. I began learning more about fitness and nutrition and I became certified as a personal trainer. Since then, I have earned five additional fitness certifications and I have taught my clients the safest and most effective methods of exercising, while providing nutrition guidance to facilitate this process.
